Angående Wikileaks

Många har redan skrivit om Wikileaks lilla kupp där man släppte en massa hemligstämplat material, så jag känner inte att jag behöver bidra med mer. Däremot skriver tidningarna också en hel del om USA:s reaktion, tex ”USA fördömde tidigt på måndagsmorgonen läckan”.

Det man dock bör komma ihåg är att USA i det här fallet är USA:s regering, inte invånarna. För att få en lite bättre bild av vad folket anser så frågade jag en polare ”over there” (han är i alla fall en bättre representant för det Amerikanska folket än vad tex Aftonbladet är…):

- Over here the media is reporting that USA has reacted very negative on the Wikileaks leak of thousands of military reports. My question is, is it the American Goverment or the American people that has reacted badly?
- The govt. Most people over here think our govt. is way too secretive as it is. The exception would be the right wingers… whom are often called wingnuts. Oh, and most people would be seriously pissed if they found out we were committing war crimes while taking others to task for the same.

Jag tror det kan bli rätt blåsigt runt Vita Huset framöver…
